Measure your AI visibility

More and more buying decisions start with a question to an AI assistant. KI.SO asks those questions for you – and measures whether your brand shows up in the answers.

What does AI visibility mean?

AI visibility describes how often, and in what context, a brand appears in the answers of generative AI systems. Unlike Google, there is no results page with ten positions: an assistant usually names three to five providers – or none at all. If you are not named, you do not exist for that user, regardless of your classic SEO ranking.

How KI.SO measures it

You create a monitor with your brand, your topics and one to five competitors. Autofill reads your website and suggests industry, topics and competitors. From this, every analysis generates 30 to 100 realistic user questions, puts them to the AI models with web search enabled and evaluates each answer: Is your brand mentioned? In which position? With what sentiment? Which sources does the AI cite?

  • Share of Voice: your share of all brand mentions compared with your competitors
  • Mention rate: in how many answers your brand appears at all
  • Source presence: how often your website is among the cited sources
  • Lead rate: how often you are named ahead of your competitors

KI.SO condenses these four metrics into a visibility score from 0 to 100 – overall and separately for each AI provider.

Questions from your region, in your language

Analyses run in German, English or Italian. On top of that, the AI's web search is given a country and region hint. This is crucial for local businesses: without that hint, the models often search with a US-centric bias, and a hotel in South Tyrol or a tradesperson in Bavaria stays invisible – even though real customers on the ground would very much get them recommended.

From report to action

The report does not just show numbers; it shows every single question with the complete AI answer – sorted by answers won and answers lost. You also get concrete recommendations on which content, sources or structures are missing. After implementing them, you measure again and see in the score history whether the change is working.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an analysis take?

An analysis runs in the background and is usually finished after one to two minutes. Setting up the monitor itself takes less than a minute with autofill.

Aren't AI answers different every time?

Yes, individual answers vary. That is why KI.SO asks many questions per analysis and evaluates averages. With regular analyses you see the trend rather than a snapshot.

Can I measure AI visibility for free?

Yes. The Free plan permanently includes one analysis per month with ten questions to Google Gemini – no subscription and no credit card.
